In response to the COVID-19 Omicron variant has high infectivity and is posing a serious threat. The Education Bureau has announced that all primary schools, KGs and kindergarten-cum-child care centres in Hong Kong should suspend face-to-face classes and all on-campus activities on or before 14th January (Friday) until the schools’ Chinese New Year holidays.
Face-to-face classes will be suspended from 14th January (Friday) to 28th January (Friday), 31st January(Monday) to 9th January (Wednesday) will be the Lunar New Year Holidays.
During the suspension of face-to-face classes, parents are requested to pay attention to the following matters to minimize the chance of their children getting flu:
- To avoid going to crowded places with poor ventilation;
- Maintain a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and take adequate rest in order to strengthen their immunity
